Changing clutch plate on vectra?

does the gearbox need to be out to do this job or is it like old cavalier can it be done with box in situe|||g/box has to come off, sorry|||Don%26#039;t know that car, but if it%26#039;s rear wheel drive, the tranny has to be removed. Front wheel drive cars don%26#039;t seem to all be the same as-far-as that question goes.|||gearbox has to removed from engine also you will have to drop the subframe slightly as the gearbox will not come past the inner flitch also change the slave cylinder as it is bolted in the bell houseing and usually when you remove the gearbox it damages the cylinder seals and leaks out fluid and then the box will have too come back out again!!
