What is the procedure for changing the clutch on a mitsubishi l200 (1997 model - 4D56). Can I do it myself?

You can do it and some mechanic experience would be helpful.

You need to drop the drive shaft.

Disconnect all cables and linkage to transmission and unbolt it from the engine and remove it.

Now unbolt the pressure plate from flywheel and remove the pressure plate and clutch.

Now install in the reverse order starting with new clutch disk and pressure plate. Buy a pin to align clutch disk with hole in transmission otherwise the transmission will never fit back into position.|||peole do it all the time but it is best left to the ones who knows be better if you payed to have it done is a big job
