93' toyota: how hard is it to change the clutch out yourself... if your not too mechananically inclined?

I'm being quoted 750 bucks by the local mechanics shop... I just went and bought the assembly myself... for 150. thanks.

I wouldn't even attempt this if you've never done it before, nor would I suggest taking your parts to a shop and having them installed as there will be NO WARRANTY. You also need to have the flywheel resurfaced and pilot bearing replaced when the clutch kit is replaced. I would take yours back and get your money back and pay the 750 and get a warranty.

EDIT - Look into where you live, I know where I live, the state will help people with car repair bills if you cant afford to pay that much.

If you have never installed a clutch and are not mechanically inclined, then i would not suggest attempting it yourself. If you do not know what you are doing you can cause severe damage to the vehicle.
The above person speaks the truth. If you start the project you will learn very quickly why they charge that much in labor. Most of the cost to get anything done at any shop is going to be mostly labor, and if you knew how much work those guys have to do with some things you'd understand why.
since you are a girl and you dont have knwledge you would probably mess thing up more than they are its pretty complicated 750 is a little spendy go shopn around :-)
you need a jack jack stands sockets extensions wrenches a way to support the engine and a way to support and bring down the transmission this is not a job for a novice we are paid for our years of experience play it safe at least get some help
